Scholarship

In the Spring of 2016, Theta Delta earned the Marilyn Spafford Award at the Spring Hill College Honors Convocation due to its exceptional scholarship by having the highest GPA for all Greek organizations. Theta Delta's average GPA is a 3.5.

We also had many sisters recognized at the Student Organization and Leadership Awards this past year. Some of the awards include Residence Life Rookie of the Year, Greek New Member of the Year, Spirit of Spring Hill, and nominations for the Student Life Achievement Award.

In the summer of 2014, the Theta Delta chapter received recognition at the National Phi Mu Convention in Boca Raton for its impeccable dedication to scholarship. Here, Theta Delta was recognized with the Academic Honor Roll Award, Chapter GPA Above All Women's Award, and an award for having above a 3.0 average GPA.

In order to instill a drive for continuous scholarship within the chapter, Theta Delta recognizes the hard work of its members with two activities. The first is 'The A Jar,' where a member writes down the exceptional work they did on a test, project, etc., and names are randomly pulled for gift cards to various local places. The second is 'Caught in the Act,' where sisters are surprised with a treat if they are caught studying in the library. These fun activities help boost member's commitment to phenomenal scholarship.

In addition, at the end of each semester during final exams, Phi Mu hosts a "Study Hall" in Gautrelet Room on campus providing healthy snacks and coffee and a quiet place for members to study together throughout the week of final exams.
